Domain Level Personality Traits

Trait Domains are broad categories of personality characteristics that summarize specific patterns of feelings, thoughts, and behaviors.

Through the PDTP you can learn at a broad level, what traits are most prominent in your client's personality and get insight into what interventions might help your client as you get started with them.

Facet Level Personality Traits

Personality Trait Facets are more specific traits known as facets. These facets provide a detailed look at the finer grained aspects of personality within each broader domain.
Using the PID-5 trait facets helps us personalize treatment by identifying the specific ways clients think, feel, and relate to others. Whether someone struggles with emotional intensity, impulsivity, detachment, or perfectionism, these insights guide us in creating targeted interventions that match their unique personality style—leading to deeper engagement and better outcomes.
